Walmracing

Is a young Swedish dragracing team participating in the Swedish Championship of Competition Eliminator Series.
We are five team members who all have an important role in our goal to succeed.

Our growth is thank to our sponsors. Without them it would not be done so fast to where we are today.
Our main sponsors for 2012 is the energy drink brand Mad-Croc Energy (Who also sponsored us in 2011).

History

Walmracing started 2005 by a dream to participate in the world’s fastest motorsport, dragracing. That dream was held by the Wålm brothers, and there by the name Walmracing.

The first car was a Ford Anglia 1954, built by the Collins brothers in 1976.
When Walmracing bout the flaming Anglia is was setup for Super Gas with was a perfect match for Wålm brothers how both needed to take there license.
During this period a new mechanics joind the team, mr Sten Scheier.

First season (2006) was a learning period and Wålm brothers got there license. But manage to run a few races in NDRS and TSDS series.

Season 2007 continued in Super Gas class in NDRS, TSDS and a couple of races in SVDA’s (Swedish Vintage Dragrace Assocation) nostalgia races.

Still there where a urge to run faster and also to step up, funny car has always been close to our harts.
So in the end of season 2007 Walmracing got a TMFC chassis with a Corvette body from 1984. A Chevy SB 355 methanol injected fitted nice and got Walmracing ready for next season.

Season of 2008 the goal was to focus on SVDA series with nostalgia races around Sweden.
There for an Altered T-23 body was purchased as the funny car body was a little too new to participate.
Season ended with a ninth place in nostalgia series.
Season 2009 really got the taste for nostalgi funny car as an old Dodge Omni -79 find it’s place in Walmracing garage after some hard years in the open under a thick layer of moss.
Then Dodge hade a sad story in Swedish dragracing and was part in a big motorshot during a race in Piteå 1984.

Walmracing also got it’s first main sponsor, Lay’s and the new Dodge car got the name “The Lay’s Funny Car”.

Season 2010 started with a tie-up of Walmracing and Wallin Racing. Two team’s with focus on one car and this time with more power, a big block with blower.
With focus on SVDA series with nostalgia races the new car got a orange Altered T-23 body, but sadly the season was mixed with random problems until the last race in september when it manage to get one nice and clean run. Season 2011
